Maddy Nichols shares her video diary working behind the scenes at the Pyeongchang games

The 2018 Paralympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea saw 569 competitors from 49 nations. Two PhD students from the University of Bristol’s Centre for Functional Nanomaterials, Maddy Nichols and Rafael Moreno Tortolero, volunteered to travel to the games and work in the Ottobock repair workshop to repair athletes’ orthotics and prostheses. This is their story.
