Is it time to refine our supramolecular vocabulary?

News that scientists have observed the electron density distribution behind a σ-hole is another step in our understanding of non-covalent interactions. Chemists 100 years from now may well view this as the era in which chemists began rapidly expanding the stock available in the supramolecular supermarket.
